RILC offers two main services for people who require advice on refugee or general migration matters. These services are the telephone advice line service and the evening advice service.
Operates 8 hours per week at specified times.
You must call the telephone advice line service to access any of our advice and casework services or our clinics.
Telephone advice is available by calling (03) 9413 0100 during session times and asking for the duty solicitor.
The session times are weekly on:
Wednesdays: 10am – 4pm
Fridays: 2pm – 4pm
Operates every Monday evening (except Public Holidays).
Provides face-to-face advice.
An appointment must be made to attend this service. Make an appointment by calling the telephone advice service.
The Evening Advice Service is held at, Level 1, 121-123 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy, VIC, 3065.
The Centre does not provide representation in relation to appeals to the Courts. Unfortunately, RILC cannot provide legal representation to everybody who requests such assistance. This is due to limited funding and resources, as well as the enormous demand for our services every year. If RILC cannot provide legal representation, we can assist with advice and referral to other services.
