In donating to RILC, you are making a crucial and concrete contribution to the promotion and protection of the rights and dignity of refugees, asylum seekers and disadvantaged migrants. This includes ensuring people are provided with essential assistance with matters such as seeking protection from persecution or family reunion with loved ones.
Unmet legal need in this area in Australia is acute. Many people cannot access basic or adequate legal assistance. RILC makes a major contribution to addressing this problem.
RILC plays a leading role in the provision of free legal assistance to asylum seekers, refugees and disadvantaged migrants in Australia. We assist over 3,000 people each year. We also play a prominent role in policy reform, advocacy and public education, seeking to promote and ensure fair, just and humane treatment of asylum seekers, refugees and disadvantaged migrants.
Donations and grants are crucial to the ongoing operations and development of RILC’s work. We depend significantly on donations from individuals, trusts, foundations and companies. They provide a vital source of annual income, with less than half of our annual funding coming from government sources,
RILC is endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as a deductible gift recipient and has charitable tax status.
Donations of $2.00 or more are fully tax deductible.
Your donation will directly promote and protect the rights of refugees, asylum seekers, and disadvantaged migrants.
